Indoor smoking ban prompts drop in heart attacks

The State Health Department report claims the reduced exposure to second hand smoke has contributed to the drop in heart attacks.

Harlan Juster from the Health Department said, "The moderate laws that were done in many counties did have an impact on reducing emissions and did protect people from secondhand smoke. This report speaks to the importance of having a comprehensive statewide ban on indoor smoking."

The article stated that 22 American states require workplaces, bars and restaurants to be smoke free.
